If you're used to brewing a pot of coffee even when you just want a single cup, then this great little coffee maker might just be your savior. Arguably the most popular manual brewing method of the last decade, the HARIO V60-01 is a new take on the classic Melitta cones. There are as many opinions on the brewing method as there are baristas, but once you find your favorite, it's one of the cheapest and most effective ways to make great coffee at home.
This method, combined with the right filters, is ideal for brewing single-serve cups of coffee directly in the cup—you can brew up to 16 oz in a single brew—and ensures you only brew the coffee you need. It's simple to use, easy to clean, and, as long as you get good coffee, it might just help you put away your coffee machine for good.
This HARIO V60 is made of ceramic (looks nicer and retains heat better), but it's also available in clear plastic (BPA-free and shatter-resistant) or heat-resistant glass. Whichever you choose, the days of good old-fashioned microwave coffee could be over.
