The CLARIS filter cartridge contains in its lower end a layer of natural active ingredients which stabilize the water in the tank and thus reduce limescale deposits at the bottom of the tank. The system works without additional energy or action: thanks to the natural movement of water in the tank, it constantly passes through the layer of active ingredients. With its composition based on activated carbon, the CLARIS filter cartridge always uses the principle of ascending current. By ion exchange, its upper part filters exactly the amount of water needed to obtain a perfect cup of coffee.

Thanks to RFID technology, the coffee machine detects the presence of a filter and automatically activates the corresponding mode. It continuously collects information on filter usage and indicates when the filter is exhausted. Replacing the filter has never been so simple and CLARIS Pro Smart+ thus delivers optimal efficiency.

In addition to the proven professional updraft principle, which filters exactly the amount of water required for each coffee preparation, CLARIS Pro Smart+ contains a layer of natural active ingredients. Suitable for all tap water

With their innovative formula, the filter cartridges are suitable for all tap water worldwide. The extremely effective granules filter limescale to always an optimal level (even with low hard water) and reduce harmful and taste-impairing substances such as chlorine better than ever. The minerals, which play a decisive role as flavor enhancers, are preserved. Optimal stabilization of limescale from the water tank and efficient filtration for coffee preparation ensure maximum hygiene and optimal water quality for coffee with the perfect aroma.

Automatic filter detection

So that the filter and the coffee machine can communicate, JURA uses modern RFID technology. The machine automatically detects the presence of a filter thanks to the Intelligent Water System (IWS®). It then automatically switches to filter mode and starts rinsing. When the filtration capacity reaches exhaustion, the coffee machine indicates that the filter will soon need to be replaced. If this is not done, the machine activates descaling mode. It then requests descaling after the corresponding duration of use. And to carry out this operation, you must remove the filter. No more handling errors linked to misunderstandings.
