New November 2024 - Improved version of the Gaggia Classic Evo Pro
The Gaggia Classic Pro E24 is a premium entry-level espresso machine designed and manufactured entirely in Italy. Constructed from commercial-grade components, the Classic Pro E24 features a one-piece steel frame, 3-way solenoid valve, 58mm portafilter and an all-new brass boiler for improved capacity and performance.
The Gaggia Classic espresso machine has long been a favorite among espresso lovers for its commercial-grade build quality and affordable price. The 9-bar pressure regulator, 3-way solenoid valve, and brass group head allow the Classic espresso machine to brew espresso that meets the standards of the Specialty Coffee Association. Additionally, the commercial steam wand is fully capable of frothing café-quality microfoam for lattes and cappuccinos.
Build quality was a top priority when designing this single boiler espresso machine. The polished steel group cover won’t chip over time, and the 58mm portafilter, previously made of chrome-plated brass, is now made of pure stainless steel, which better matches the group cover aesthetically and won’t chip or scratch with use. Thanks to a redesigned internal base that helps dampen the noise of the vibrating pump, the machine is quieter than ever.
The Pro E24 takes the successes of the Classic and builds on them by adding a brass boiler. This update improves the thermal stability of the machine: brass has more mass than aluminum, so it maintains its temperature more consistently. The brass boiler also has an increased internal capacity compared to the original, which means more steam power and the ability to prepare more drinks consecutively.
If you’re looking for an espresso machine that’s both affordable and easy to use, but will also stand the test of time, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a better option than the Gaggia Classic Pro E24. Machines with comparable features and build quality cost twice as much, and similarly priced machines with more features are mostly made of plastic. The Classic Pro E24 delivers on the promise of a premium entry-level machine: it’ll be a pleasure to use while you learn the ropes, and won’t lose its usefulness even after you gain more experience as a home barista.
