The compact prosumer machine, espresso-first
The Profitec GO is a single-boiler espresso machine designed for the enthusiast who wants pro-grade extraction in a minimal footprint. Italian build, PID temperature control, and six color finishes to match any kitchen.
What sets it apart
Its ring brew group and spring-loaded pre-infusion deliver an extraction profile close to E61 machines, in a more compact format and at an entry-prosumer price point. Brew pressure is manually adjustable via the accessible expansion valve — a level of control rare in this category.
The PID controls the temperature of the brew water **and** the steam, each adjustable independently. This is the core technical argument for the GO: most entry-level single boilers offer only a fixed brew PID.
Key specifications
- Stainless steel single boiler — ready to brew in under 5 minutes
- Dual PID controller — independent brew and steam temperatures
- Built-in spring pre-infusion — softens the start of extraction without extra electronics
- Commercial 58 mm portafilter — compatible with the full range of industry-standard accessories
- Vibration pump — quiet for home use
- Adjustable expansion valve — custom brew pressure
- Programmable ECO mode — auto-off for energy savings
- Programmable cleaning reminder — maintenance prompts built in
- Display showing extraction time to the second
- Six finishes available — yellow, red, blue, black, white, copper (subject to catalog availability)
Day to day
The GO heats up quickly and pulls a clean shot within minutes. Like any single-boiler machine, you pull your espresso, then switch to steam mode and wait a few seconds for the boiler to climb to steaming temperature. For one or two milk drinks a day, that wait is barely noticeable. For five back-to-back cappuccinos, a dual-boiler machine is the better fit.
Best suited for
- The espresso enthusiast who drinks mostly black coffee (espresso, americano)
- Households drinking 1 to 4 cups a day with up to 2 consecutive milk drinks
- Compact kitchens where every inch of counter space matters
- Those who want full control over extraction (pressure, temperature, time) without stepping up to a dual boiler
Less suited for
- Households pulling multiple milk drinks back-to-back — see the ECM Synchronika or Profitec Pro 600 dual boilers
- Any commercial use, even light — see Rancilio or La Marzocco commercial machines
- Users looking for a one-touch experience — see our fully automatic range
Where it fits
Within the prosumer single-boiler-with-PID category, the Profitec GO stands out for its dual PID (brew and steam), its commercial-grade 58 mm portafilter and its range of color finishes. A credible entry point into specialty espresso at home, without cutting corners on the technical fundamentals.
Recommended grinder
The Profitec GO does not include a built-in grinder. A quality grinder is essential to get the most out of this machine. Our team can recommend a Compak or other catalog grinder based on your beans and daily volume. Stop by the showroom to compare options.
