The rugged home espresso companion, without the fuss

The Ascaso Steel Duo is built for simplicity and durability: an all-metal body, dual thermoblock heating, and direct controls, no screen or app, for anyone who wants quality espresso without the extras.

What sets it apart

Its dual thermoblock heats coffee and steam independently, so you can pull an espresso and steam milk at the same time. Coffee temperature adjusts in 2°C increments, from 90°C to 106°C, right on the machine.

Key specifications

• Brew group with a 58 mm double-spout portafilter.
• Removable 2 L side-mounted water tank, easy to lift out and refill.
• Vibration pump with a separate hot water group, for an americano or tea without going through the brew group.
• Steam wand fixed at 165°C with a safety thermostat, for powerful, consistent steam.
• All-metal body with an active cup warmer, built for frequent daily use.
• 2100 W power (120 V, 20 A circuit): quick heat-up for both thermoblocks.

Living with it day to day

With no screen or menu to navigate, the Steel Duo is adjusted directly on the machine and stays simple to run day after day. The cup warmer keeps your cups ready, and the separate hot water group makes tea or an americano easy.

Who it's for / Who it's not for

• Ideal for: anyone who wants a rugged, all-metal machine that can brew and steam at the same time, without managing a screen or an app.
• Less suited for: anyone who wants PID precision or remote control (see our Ascaso Steel Duo PID or Baby T Plus).
• Less suited for: anyone looking for one-touch coffee (see our De'Longhi or Jura automatic machines).

Where it fits

Among single-group, dual-thermoblock machines built for heavy home use, the Steel Duo stands out for its all-metal construction and straightforward controls, at a more accessible price point than its PID or Plus counterparts.
