With simple, intuitive controls and a high-resolution grinding range of #1 to 20, composing the perfect shot is easy with the Encore ESP. Inside, the durable metal adjustment system provides consistent, precise grinding and the 40mm M2 conical burr features a quick release for easy cleaning and maintenance. The Encore ESP includes a 54mm anti-static measuring cup (with a 58mm adapter for larger portafilters) that provides clean, evenly distributed portafilters, ready for tamping. MEASURING CUP AND ADAPTER
The 54mm measuring cup (and included 58mm adapter ring) makes it easy to transfer grounds directly into a portafilter for less mess and even distribution ready to tamp! Fits most home espresso machine portafilter baskets.
BURRS
Made in Europe, the Encore ESP's 40mm M2 steel conical burrs produce the consistent, precise grinds required for espresso and all brewing methods.
QUICK-RELEASE AND CLEANING CUTTER
The Encore ESP's conical burr is easily removable without additional tools, making cleaning and maintenance very easy.
GEARBOX
The Encore ESP uses a simple and efficient direct-drive gear reduction transmission to move power from the DC motor to the rotating conical burr. Thermal overload protection protects the motor from overheating due to excessive use.
PATTERNS LEFT IN THE GRINDER
To maximize freshness, the Encore ESP minimizes ground coffee remaining in the grinder.
BREWING METHODS
The Encore ESP is optimized for espresso from #1-20 and produces excellent filter grinds from #21-40.
ENGINE
A powerful, high-torque DC motor effortlessly drives burrs. This motor runs slowly, resulting in cool, quieter operation and allowing for long grinding cycles. The circuit is equipped with a self-resetting thermal cut-off switch.
CALIBRATION
An innovative burr calibration system ensures each grinder is ready to grind for most home espresso machine portafilter baskets. If necessary, the grinders can be calibrated by the user.
SPEED CONTROL
With a unique speed control, the Encore ESP uses a combination of gearing and electronic speed reduction to control the rotation of the cutter at 550 rpm. This slow speed reduces heat, noise and static electricity generation in the grinder. This also ensures that the grains feed smoothly into the burrs.
