The Baratza Encore ESP is the first Baratza grinder engineered from the ground up for espresso. Its dual-resolution adjustment mechanism delivers the grind precision typically reserved for mid-range grinders — in a compact, approachable package.

What sets it apart

Settings 1–20 move the burrs just 20 microns per click, giving you the fine control needed to dial in your espresso without overshooting. Settings 21–40 jump 90 microns per step, covering drip, pour-over, French press, and cold brew with ease.

The quick-release burr system lets you remove the conical burrs in seconds — no tools required — for fast, thorough cleaning without frustration.

Day to day

Grind adjustments are made directly on the hopper — no disassembly required. Press the pulse button for on-demand grinding, or flip the on/off knob for hands-free, continuous operation. The low-static dosing cup fits 54mm portafilters directly; an included adapter ring covers 58mm baskets. Swap to the classic grounds bin when brewing filter coffee. The included shims let you shift the high-resolution espresso range even finer or coarser — add a shim for a finer range, remove one to open up toward coarser grinds.
