The fully automatic machine for exceptional black coffee with zero effort
The Jura C3 is a compact fully automatic coffee machine dedicated to black speciality coffees: espresso, coffee, ristretto, and dual-cup servings. It grinds, tamps, brews, and ejects the puck in a single touch — no barista skills required, no warm-up wait.
What sets it apart
The C3 features Jura's proprietary P.E.P.® (Pulse Extraction Process), which optimizes extraction through water pulses to deliver a dense crema and full aroma — even on short espresso doses. Its full-size high-performance brewing unit — uncommon in machines in the $800–$1,200 range — ensures consistent results cup after cup. The P.A.G. (Professional Aroma Grinder) grinds beans fresh on demand, preserving aroma integrity from first cup to last.
Key specifications
- P.A.G. grinder with 7 grind levels — from delicate to intense, adjustable to your preference.
- Variable brewing unit: 5–16 g — adapts to ristretto, espresso, or long coffee volumes.
- 15-bar high-performance pump — adequate extraction pressure for stable crema and full aromatic development.
- Thermoblock heating system — machine ready to brew in approximately 4 seconds. No extended warm-up needed.
- 1.6 L water tank with included CLARIS Smart+ filter cartridge — reduces scale and improves water quality.
- 200 g bean container — roughly 25–30 cups between refills.
- Grounds container: ≈ 16 servings — machine alerts when emptying is needed.
- Height-adjustable spout: 80–110 mm — compatible with espresso cups and tall glasses.
- Dimensions: 260 × 437 × 325 mm (W × D × H) — fits under cabinets with as little as 35 cm clearance.
- Power: 1,450 W — standard 15-amp outlet. Weight: 8.8 kg.
Daily use
Power on the C3, press a button, and your coffee is ready in seconds. The four-button Easy Control Panel is self-explanatory from day one. For deeper personalization, the J.O.E.® app (JURA Operating Experience) lets you adjust coffee strength, volume, and temperature, and save personal taste profiles — available with the separately purchased Wi-Fi Connect V2 accessory. Built-in guided rinsing, cleaning, and descaling programs keep the machine in top condition with minimal effort.
Ideal for / Not ideal for
Ideal for:
- The black coffee enthusiast (espresso, coffee, ristretto) who wants excellent results without any technical learning curve.
- A household or office preparing 1 to 4 coffees per day in a compact space.
- Anyone who wants freshly ground coffee at the touch of a button, every time.
Not ideal for:
- Those who regularly make cappuccinos, lattes, or other milk-based drinks — the C3 does not include a built-in steam system. Explore Jura models with integrated milk frothing or De'Longhi automatic machines at lheureuxinc.com.
- Enthusiasts who want manual control over extraction pressure, flow profiling, or shot timing — a semi-automatic machine is better suited for that use.
- Households brewing more than 8–10 coffees per day or any commercial setting — see our commercial machine lineup at lheureuxinc.com.
Category positioning
In the fully automatic black coffee machine segment priced between $800 and $1,200, the Jura C3 positions itself at the premium end of the accessible range. Its full-size brewing unit and P.E.P.® process place it above most compact automatics in terms of espresso quality at this price point. Jura's Swiss build quality and TÜV hygiene certification speak to long-term reliability rarely found in this category.
Included
Comes with a measuring spoon, 3-phase cleaning tablets, a CLARIS Smart+ filter cartridge, filter extension, and instructions for use. The Wi-Fi Connect V2 accessory (for the J.O.E.® app) and the Automatic Milk Frother Hot & Cold are available separately at lheureuxinc.com.
